This was a research trip!

I wanted—no, needed—to see Chinese art for a novel I was writing.  My hubby and I arrived early, and when I told the docent I was writing a book about a famous female Chinese pirate in the 1800s he spent an hour giving me an extensive tour of their collection. Even better, he told me information that was not on the placards.  I learned so much and took tons of notes. And seeing something is so much better than looking at a photo on the internet!
